All elections are important, but this may be one of the most important in our lives. One of the privileges of living in a democracy in America is our citizen's right to vote. Many do not accept this responsibility out of apathy, cynicism, or the belief that our one little vote doesn't count. Nothing could be further from the truth. The presidency was won by George W. Bush in 2000 by 550 votes in Palm Beach County. Think of that. Of the over 105 million votes cast, it came down to 550 people. For state and local elections, it is often much closer, sometimes decided by a few dozen or few hundred votes. You elect the people who run our government, whether it is for sheriff, council member, school board, senators, representatives, judges, or president. So, please do your civic duty. Please register to vote, and most importantly, then VOTE!!!
You can find how to register in your state at https://vote.gov/register. Some states have started early voting already, or will soon, and you can also vote by mail. Election day is Tuesday, November 5th.
Blessings,
